How To Accelerate SDV With AGL SDV Reference PF - Yuichi Kusakabe, Honda Motor Co., Ltd.
Thursday July 10, 2025 10:05 - 10:35 CEST
This presentation is the story of Honda's first in-house software development of IVI(In-Vehicle Infotainment) software.
Why Honda promotes in-house software development - Building an in-house software development team that started with two people, All development process from scratch, There is no silver bullet that will solve many problems.
However, we were able to launch this model successfully based on Honda's DNA of Waigaya, A00, and 120% quality products. The key to this is the use of AOSP(Android Open Source Project) and some OSS.
This presentation will show how a traditional automotive OEM like Honda was able to create an in-house software development team and use OSS, including AOSP. By applying OpenChain(ISO/IEC 5230) self-certification and SPDX Lite to our development process, we solved many problems and achieved a higher starting point.
However, vehicles have difficult requirements, so we will tell you the points to minimize the customization of OSS.

Could AGL Support Functionally Safe Applications? - Isaac Trefz, Elektrobit Automotive GmbH
Thursday July 10, 2025 10:40 - 11:10 CEST
A major limitation of AGL to date is the lack of support for functional safety according to the ISO26262 standard. This limitation is a major roadblock to adoption of AGL for instrument cluster, body, and ADAS applications, which generally demand functional safety. In this session, I will outline a novel, TÜV certified approach to retrofit AGL with support for functional safety without compromising the rapid innovation and security benefits AGL provides through its open-collaboration model. In doing so, I will detail the potential limitations and trade-offs of using AGL for safe applications and inform the listeners how to quickly prototype and test their own applications for compatibility with the novel safety approach.

AGL's Delivery Process Performance: A Data-Supported View - Agustin Benito Bethencourt, Toscalix Consulting & Daniel Izquierdo Cortázar, Bitergia
Thursday July 10, 2025 12:05 - 12:35 CEST
AGL's delivery process is the finest and more mature example in the open of a complex automotive software-defined production system. This activity is a continuation of last year's talk, where the speakers will present the second iteration of an analysis of AGL's software delivery process performance and activity.

After a very short introduction about the principles, process and metrics applied to the study, speakers will focus on:
* Showing the most relevant and comprehensible data and graphs
* Describing the main conclusions extracted from the study
* Providing a high level view of the potential points for improvements that should be mitigated
* Highlighting the strengths of the delivery process that can be maximized.

The session will finalize with examples of how AGL contributors can use the data on their everyday activities to improve the overall process performance.

Note: This can also be a session presentation rather than a BoF.
